How to check if a user needs to update
Options
Hi,
Is there a way to check if a user has to update the game?
Example, the currently installed game I have has an AppVersion of 1.0 but the current version of the AppVersion is now 1.1. If the currently installed game has a version lower than the one I want, I want to notify the user to update thegame.
Is there any way to do that or something similar?
Thank you!

You can store the version number in your code, maybe as a const value. And on startup, you make a web request to get the current version and compare it to the "local" const value.
How to do the web request depends on your distribution, you can implement it with some php on your own server or if you are in an app store maybe they offer some service you could call. Worst case you can download the whole shop page of your app and parse it for the version number.5
