Cross-platform server support?

Photon looks great for our shop… except for being a Windows-only server technology. Is there any hope of seeing a cross-platform server version, perhaps based on Mono?

    we do have plans for such a version, but don't have a release date at this time.

    Well, then that is both good and bad news. :-) Consider this a hearty vote for sooner rather than later.

    FWIW, I am using Unity and SmartFoxServer right now for a prototype, so it is not too late to make a switch on the server side. However, at some point in the future, we will have to settle on a server platform for development. I will keep my eye in Photon…
