Is PUN compatible with Realtime?

Is PUN a pure superset of Realtime? Would it be compatible with a Realtime App ID and azure instance?

    Hi @Sixpolys,

    Thank you for choosing Photon!

What Is The Difference Between Photon Realtime And PUN?

PUN is built on top of Realtime.
PUN is compatible with Realtime in the sense you can have a client built with PUN and one client built with Realtime only and they can communicate but you can't use PUN specific features in Realtime unless you re implement them there, in that case why not use PUN directly.

The question about Azure Instance is not clear.
If you're asking if it's possible to self-host Photon Server on Azure, then the answer is yes.
You can then connect PUN client or Realtime client to your Photon Server hosted on Azure.

I mean Photon Industries, Enterprise Azure. Would i need to rewrite my PUN App with Realtime, or is it irrelevant for the backend?

Because most developers who combine PUN with Realtime, do so, because they want to support non-Unity clients as well and PUN is only available for Unity.

of course PUN is compatible with Photon Industries cloud.
    It's the same "backend".
