Lags even with a basic game?

I'm making a game, quite basic on the network side, two players with 5 characters for each player, turn based, so at any point in time the game has at most 16 photon views, with probably the same number of photon transform views.

One character is moving at a time and one bullet (weapon) is in use at max.

Still everything appears very laggy on the other client.

I'm aware of lag compensation and all that business, but I though it would work like a charm for this basic setup.

Am I missing something?
If I'm not, I was waiting for a more streamlined experience when I choose PUN.
