Movement With Mechanim

Quick question I am following the tutorials. In Tutorial 3 it talks about character movement and the character motor. Chapter 4 talks about animations and Mechanim. I am using a slightly modified Unity rigidbody 3rd person controller with Mechanim. How do I implement this with the Unity rigidbody 3rd person controller?

The advanced tutorial is for server auth, server auth rigidbody players with client side prediction are not currently supported by unity. You can make the rigidbody player non auth however.5

thanks for getting back to me. is there a tutorial for that? I was able to make the player move, however the server was moving the client and client was moving the server and the animations were not visible in the controlling instance.0
