Do you have best practice setup values for each platform (type)?

Hi,

as far as we understood, it would make sense to have different photon voice settings for each platform (standalone, mobile, VR etc.).

Best values we have tested so far (android + windows):
* Min delay soft 200
* Max delay soft 900
* May delay hard 1000
* webRTC audio DSP
* Acoustic echo cancellation
* reverse stream delay 120
* Noise suppression
* Automatic gain control
* Compression gain 9
* duration 20ms
* sampling 48khz
* bitrate 40000

Do you have some best practice values for the following platforms?
* A. Windows PC Microphone/Webcam
* B. Mac Microphone/Webcam
* C. Windows PC Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, WMR -> VR headset enabled
* D. Android Microphone
* E. Android Headset
* F. Oculus Quest/2
* G. iOS Microphone
* H. iOS Headset

That would be really nice to have, and maybe also very useful for other users.
Maybe you can also create a preset for photon voice 2 for each of the above
configuration, that way it would be much easier to figure out the correct values?

    Hi @AndreWe,

    Thanks a lot for sharing this and asking for such thing.
    It's also useful for us to get this kind of information from developers who use Photon Voice everyday.

    Ideally, in the future, Photon Voice 2 makes all this hidden and you just choose minimal settings like quality, performance, traffic usage...so low, medium, high for each. (brainstorming here out loud)

    But we need the data you are requesting first to help us choose default values etc.

    Maybe you can add a poll/feedback function to the unity plugin/editor to ask the developers for feedback? At the end of the day, everybody would have a benefit of that I guess ;)

    Thanks for the suggestion.
    Not sure it's worth the efforts though as usually people who tend to share their knowledge usually find the time to do it on the forums, and people who don't won't.
