Documentation on Loadbalancer?

I was wondering if there's already documentation available that explains the details of Loadbalancer? Kind of a high level overview as you have it with the other applications. This could be very helpful for extending the application.

    We got some diagrams but it's not documented yet. At least not in a "user friendly" way.
