Loadbalancing server starts but does not log anything

I found the solution to this one, it's probably not that common, but maybe somebody else has this problem so I thought I should post the answer.
The symptoms are: Server starts, Photon-Loadbalancing.log says "Service is running...", all seems well but the client cannot connect to the server and also the MSMaster.log and GSGame.log are empty.
The actual problem is that Windows Spooler process somehow is preventing Photon to run properly and to log info.
Kill the Spooler process and all should be fine.

  • This is on my local environment and yes I am using the defaults. The problem occurred after an Windows update. Those things scare the hell out of me!
