How to turn of a GameObject for client

Hey guys! Have this gameobject that shows up for the host and client that says "Waiting for players..." and when the the game starts I turn this gameobject off and start running the game logic. I can turn off the gameobject for the host no issues.

How do I turn it off for the client? I tried to have the host look for the client network gameobject (public class NetworkPlayer : NetworkBehaviour) then run a method in there TurnOffWaitingWindow()

GameObject.Find(WaitingWindow).SetActive(false);

}

but i get a nullreference error because it is still trying to run it on the host which the object has already been turned off.
