Sopcast

Hi,

We are using a self-hosted photon server on AWS. We are running into an issue where we have a client's firewall provider identifying the photon server IP as running P2P/Sopcast. Any reason why that could happen?

Thanks

  • We don't know the firewall provider or settings, so we do not know, in the end. Likely, the traffic looks enough like "P2P/Sopcast" and then it's blocked.

You can try to change the ports (we have the "alternative ports" of 27000+). Sometimes that makes a difference. Or you can reconfigure the firewall appropriately and unblock the ports used by Photon in your configuration.

    List of default ports.
