Photon Server with PUN needed ?

Hello, I choosed PUN for my future game, i'm a little confused about the Photon Server, if I want to use PUN but on an external server (not hosted by Photon), i need to use Photon Server to make it work ?
I mean, i am aware of this link: https://doc.photonengine.com/en-us/realtime/current/getting-started/onpremises-or-saas
but it's really confusing as i'm not used to work server side

Hi @antigode,

If you want to use PUN and not the Photon Cloud then yes you need to self-host and manage the Photon Server(s) yourself.
