Asteroids Demo Won't Connect From Another PC

I've tried testing the asteroids demo with my friend and it connects to the master server and joins the lobby but we cannot join nor see a room the other person creates. It only seems to work if both the peer and host is on the same computer (if we run the game twice on the same pc it works fine as if the pc is an isolated network).

It shows around 2mb of traffic on the photon website but it plainly does not work, does anyone know how to fix this?
